Training in Iwa(Private/Training)

Post by Oishi Nanashi on Fri Dec 22, 2017 11:57 pm

Oishi has character. That much is known. That much is understood, however, despite this... he's a sort of odd chap. He's always talking about how he wishes to be a hero and how he wants to become the greatest. However, he's a lot older and lacks the capacity that a lot of other ninja do. Learning capacity to be specific. That hurts him in the long run, sure, but that's not what matters when he's standing in front of a dummy, ready to strike as hard as possible. He'd place his foot down and attempt to smash the dummy down.

He smashed, but the dummy survived rather easily. He wasn't good at taijutsu, that much he knew. He also knew something else. All heroes came from struggling times. From troubling times. These troubling times. Albeit, in this case, troubling times entails just being weak. That didn't make things any better. He knew what he had to do, and it wasn't just sitting there, punching the damned dummy until it fell over. He went to go find some of the weights, to see if he could start lifting them until he could stop.

He lifted those weights for a mere ten minutes before he saw a lady come up to him. This lady looked odd. She was, funnily, taller than him. He put the weights down, pointed at her, and went in his most enthusiastic voice.

"Hey! How are ya? I'm Oishi!"

The girl looked mildly disappointed. Oishi didn't get it. Despite it being fairly obvious that he was being too loud for her to want to deal with him, she was a sensei.

"You aren't going to get stronger like that, well. Not fast anyway. You need to do more extreme training, not this stuff you're doing. If you wish to actually get strong at a reasonable manner, follow me. If not, continue to do the lame training you're doing."

Oh? Training that he wasn't doing, that was cool as hell? THAT EXISTS?

That's not right.

He followed her out of curiosity and with a mild eyebrow raise. They moved into a more private training area that he wasn't actually supposed to have access to. Mainly because this lady was older than he. Most ladies older than he was smarter than he. That, however, refused to stop the stubborn boy. He wanted to learn how this happens. When they arrived, she turned to look at Oishi.

"Let me see your punches"

Now, for it to be fully understood, Oishi was a terrible boxer, and his taijutsu skills were not to be desired. He threw a punch that was slow, uncoordinated, and over all terrible. The lady simply moved to the right and dodged the laughable blow. Oishi went again and again, but it was a simple dodge each time. This should've been demoralizing but uh. Oishi was not to be diswayed.

Thirty punches later, Oishi was sweating. What could've looked like a high-level boxing exchange, looked like a failure repeatedly. What he didn't feel right away, was how he was forced to throw punches was strengthing his muscles. They weren't pretty nor right, but they involved putting his size and strength out as good as he could.
