Top Notch: The First Mission is Always the Hardest![private/Kyoshi]

Post by Akame on Tue Feb 13, 2018 8:21 pm

Spoiler:
Mission name: Defend the Builders
Mission rank: C
Objective: Protect the men and women building homes outside of the village
Location: Surrounding Country
Mission Description: Communities are still spreading all across the country since the establishment of the Great Ninja Villages. One such community has hired the village to protect their builders as they construct homes. Bandits have been about, destroying their work in an attempt to make robbing them easier. Go keep them safe.
Mission Details: Near the end of the work day, four people will show up looking to destroy what progress the builders have made. You will have to subdue them. Three of the bandits have 150 points in all stats except chakra, in which they have 10. Their leader has 200 points in all stats except chakra, in which they have 20. The leader is also arms with an Improved tier weapon. You will have to deal with them to keep the builders safe.

Holy canoli, talk about a first mission to kick off he grind before the big exams come. When a certain twelve year old Senju learned of his family’s deciding to rush him so he can continue to become stronger, he didn’t expect recommending to him such a vital mission. When told to go and see what he could do for an assignment, he had learned of various D and C ranked missions, but he already knew that it was either C-Ranked or to go home, and he couldn’t just randomly go home after catching a cat or sweeping some floors and expect to get rewarded with love. He needed to start pushing. Escorting a merchant? Perhaps, though he can become a liability to the young Senju should they be ambushed. Delivering a message? He would choose it, but when he considered it he also thought about the idea of it possibly being too light of an assignment for his brother’s taste. There was no way to stop a thief either, the young Senju wanted adventure, not to chase someone around over a stolen cabbage or two. That can always happen some other time, but this time he wanted some level of exploration and some degree of feeling useful at the end of it.

It was a warm morning in Konohagakure, with the springtime breeze beginning to blow. A window or two in the administration building had clearly been opened as even inside this structure he had felt the outside breeze, and it certainly felt nice. Akame’s yellow eyes locked onto a certain job posted that easily screamed out to someone, to him, asking for help. It was a job where he was to go to a new community and guard them during construction. Bandits have been harassing him; the bullies that didn’t prove useful enough to even live a decent life were just harassing the innocent. The boy was immediately reminded of when Tetsuji was attacked in the hallway and a burning feeling welled inside of him that made the springtime breeze feel to him like the dry, stagnant heat of summer, and he knew right then and there that this was both perfect for him, allowing him to not only prove himself further to his family, but to also help out others in the meantime. He would grab a notice and get it approved, where he would be notified of his being assigned a partner for the mission, and to wait by the gate the next day for said partner to come. The boy didn’t know how exactly they would find someone, but hopefully at least one other individual would feel strongly enough about that mission in particular to jump in and help out.

The next day, the boy would wake up and get ready. He would try his best to fix his hair, but to no avail. Instead, he left the short spiky bush as is and instead grabbed his konohagakure headband, tying it to his forehead, emblem out. Then, he would dress in his brown pants and fishnet shirt, leaving his tan kimono jacket around his shoulders so he can have it, but also quickly use it later. He had an idea on how to use it as a temporary distraction, one that fighting a certain group of bullies helped him gain, and he was curious on how exactly well it would work in a situation like this as well. Next up of course for any first timer would be the deep breaths. In and out, in and out, he needed to make sure he was ready for anything. This was just a job, and one he would have help on, so he felt less nervousness about actually doing it than he did at the thought of actually going there. Ever since the... red eyes. Only red eyes when he tried to remember, though ever since something had happened to him as a kid that somehow earned him a burn on his leg he had always wondered if he would mess up as badly as he did back then. Whatever it was he did back then.

Finally, he would grab a small pouch containing the typical throwing weapons and would put on his wooden sandals, leaving for the great gates of Konohagakure. Every step excited him. This was his first time out! He wondered with whom as well, but knew full well that the possibilities were endless as to whom he would be placed with, though hopefully it wasn’t someone too rude that he can’t even work with them. “Please be someone cool, please be someone cool..” he would mutter to him, opening up his small black notebook for a few moments, skimming through his various sketches and studies as he waited, leaning against a wall of the checkpoint office just in front of the gates.

Post by Kyoshi on Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:30 pm

Now that Kyoshi was a genin, life was about to get a lot more interesting. The young Sarutobi had only just recently joined the ranks of the shinobi forces of Konohagakure no Sato in full, but even so, he had very high hopes for himself that manifested as confidence. This confidence, of course, also became bravado at times. Though that was partially due to the fact that his father had already put so much faith into him, even though he had not really proved himself beyond just graduating from the academy. It was that small amount of self doubt that was making its way through Kyoshi’s psyche as he wandered down the road toward the village’s administration building. It was a warm enough day and the sun was shining, but the cool breeze that drifted through the village meant that he could wear his black jacket without fear of overheating. As sure as he was in his own ability as a ninja, he knew that he was far from the great shinobi that his father was, and the chance to prove to himself and to the other ninja in his family had finally arrived. It was making him a little bit nervous, but he did not have much of a choice if he wanted to be recognized set apart from the rest of the genin.

As he arrived at the building, he did not waste any time heading over to the area where he was to collect his mission. Thankfully, he had been able to get his father to send in a recommendation that would allow him to take a C-Rank mission, even as his first one thanks to his natural talent as a ninja. The D-Rank missions, while certainly necessary, were just way too boring to Kyoshi. He wanted to make the Sarutobi name proud, not sweep up some shop or find a missing cat. The D-Rank missions could be handed out to those who wouldn’t be able to handle themselves. Not like him; he was ready for a challenge. He knew what kinds of missions he could end up with thanks to the lessons that he had learned in the academy. Escorting a Merchant, patrolling the woods, message delivery, and many others were all possibilities for the newly promoted genin, but he knew that he would not end up fighting off other ninja. Those missions were strictly assigned as B-Rank missions or above, which he would not be able to take until he became a chuunin. Until then, he was going to take as many C-Rank missions as he could so that he could start making a name for himself.

When the woman behind the desk finally handed his the scroll containing his mission details, he thanked her and took a seat, glancing over the parameters of the missions and trying to figure out what would need to happen. According to the scroll, some nearby builders were having issues with bandits stopping their progress and threatening them. It had gotten to the point where they needed some protection to ensure that they could finish their work. Ninja from Konohagakure no Sato had been rotating in and out of this protection duty, and it was about time for a replacement. It also informed him that he would be working with a partner who had already been determined, but there was no indication of who it would be with. The young Sarutobi crossed his fingers and prayed that it was not Aka for a moment before heading out and going back to him home, preparing for the scheduled meeting with his new partner the following day.

When he woke up the next day, Kyoshi practically jumped out of his beds and sped into getting ready for the day ahead. Within minutes, the young Sarutobi had his ninja tools squared away in their pouches, his “forehead protector” around his waist, and his new black jacket on. He was ready for whatever this mission would have in store for him, even if he was feeling a little bit on the nervous side of things. With the rest of his gear assembled, Kyoshi put on his sandals and headed out the door, looking back over his shoulder and bidding his family goodbye for the next couple of days. They were nervous too, of course. But more than that, they were proud of their boy. The walk to the gate did not take very long, but the whole time, Kyoshi was stressing out over who his partner would be. If he was set up with a chuunin, he was worried he would not be able to pull his own weight, and if he was with a weak genin, then he was worried that he would not be able to do everything on his own. It was a tough spot to be in, but all of his fears were washed away when he saw the spiky haired Senju waiting for a partner by the village gate as well. He was leaning against the wall of the checkpoint office, skimming though a notebook when Kyoshi called out to him, a huge grin on his face. “Well well well, if it isn’t Akame Senju! What do you say we go protect some builders together?!?”

Akame's yellow eyes widened as the corners of his mouth curved upwards, his mouth opening up in joy as he spotted a certain friend of his appear, suggesting they go protect some builders. He dropped his notebook and met his dear Sarutobi friend partway, attempting to give a fast hug with both of his arms before turning around and returning to his falling notebook, picking it up and sticking it in his pouch. As he did so, he was already copping a look towards his appointed comrade, observing his outfit in a veiled attempt to ensure that his own wasn't too under-equipped.

"It's good to see you again, Kyo!" He spoke with lighter tone for a moment before making the attempted to erase the stupid look from his face. He noticed that instead of Akame's own forehead protector being on his head Kyoshi has taken the liberty to attach his own to his waist, not to mention he had what looked like some sort of black jacket on as well; one that didn't exactly seem like it's been used for long. Other than that his friend looked the same since they last had met. The young Senju felt a small amount of relief, especially since he himself, while covered by his own more traditional clothing, had to tone up his own body a little since they had last met one another.

"I can't wait to stomp this mission out with you! With the two of us together it'll be a breeze!" With that the young Senju would already be on his way out of the village. "Let's go ahead and blow this out of the water!"

+++

It would be but a few hours later when the two should arrive to the general location of where village construction is taking place. The wooded dirt part was already appearing to clear as more and more tree stumps took the place of trees, and the young Senju could hear the faint sounds of construction looming closer and closer. It was slightly bothersome to the boy that this was a thing that would have to be necessary in order to build homes for the people living here, but that was just life. When he finally attains Wood Release the Young Senju was already thinking about how he could use it to make homes rather than to steal them from the woodland creatures around, and how much better off they'll be for it.

Then though, outside of the expected things to be heard or seen, the Young Senju came across a serrated weapon on the ground, broken and discarded. Bringing one knee downwards, he picked up the separated blade. "This doesn't seem like any saw I've seen.." He exclaimed to his friend as his eyes didn't leave the blade. "It seems to me like the bandit problem is definitely real. Maybe we should keep an eye out just in case. Do you want to go talk to some of the villagers? I would be I'm not exactly... Well, I'm not good at that sort of thing."

Post by Kyoshi on Sun Apr 15, 2018 5:44 pm

Being greeted by Akame’s smile and quick embrace was all the encouragement that Kyoshi needed to want to get this mission underway. He returned the hug and gave his friend and rival a once over while he caught the falling notebook. It was good to see him too, and glancing over his appearance he was impressed to see how much he had grown. Just like Kyoshi, the Sarutobi could see that his Senju friend had put it a great deal of training in order to become a genin like himself. It was good to see that his friend was able to keep up with the harsh regiment that Kyoshi had been undergoing, and as he stood with Akame and listened to him talk about how easy the mission would be with the two of them on the job, Kyoshi could not help but let a smile grow onto his face. “It’s amazing to see you too Akame. Its’s been too long.”

Akame seemed so excited to hit the road that Kyoshi was not going to try to slow him down for anything. The duo soon stepped outside of the gates, and as he glanced over his shoulder to see the gates retreating behind him, a rush of excitement traveled through him. Akame and Kyoshi were genin now. It was crazy to think about. Not that long ago, the two boys had been training at the Academy together and were having a tough time mastering their basic jutsu. They had trained so hard together, and now they were headed out on a real mission instead of wandering around private property in the Uchiha clan compound. It seemed surreal to him for a moment. But the comfort of his new jacket reminded him of how real it was. The expectations of the two boys was already growing, and on this mission they were expected to act as professional shinobi, not as ninja in training. Turing back to the back, Kyoshi followed his friend with their destination in mind.

The journey was only a couple hours long, and Kyoshi decided to take the opportunity to chat with his friend. They hadn’t spoken in some time, so catching up with Akame seemed like a good use of his time. Kyoshi told his Senju friend about the jacket and how his father had worn it once upon a time during the Warring States period. He told him about how his mother had fixed it and about how his training had shifted from physical training to the more intricate task of molding chakra into elemental natures. Kyoshi would listen as well to anything Akame would tell him, thoroughly interested in how his friend was progressing. It was a nice trip, but eventually it had to come to an end with the duo’s arrival at the small community. The thinned forest and the sound of construction was a clear indicator that they had arrived. But before they could even introduce themselves, Akame found something that caused Kyoshi to tense up.

As the Senju picked up the serrated blade that was resting on the ground, he immediately thought to start the mission in full. "It seems to me like the bandit problem is definitely real. Maybe we should keep an eye out just in case. Do you want to go talk to some of the villagers? I would be I'm not exactly... Well, I'm not good at that sort of thing." Kyoshi nodded, agreeing that they should make contact with their employers before starting to take any action. “Sounds like a good plan,” he said quietly as he began leading his friend toward the construction area.

As they got closer, it was clear that construction on the homes in question was almost complete, tough evidence of the destruction wrought by the bandits around the area was clear. Burnt remains of one building could be seen, as well as destroyed materials and other acts of vandalism were scattered across the site. As the two genin approached the area, a muscular man wearing a white tank top, standing about six feet tall and sweating as if he had been working all day approached them. He had short, dark hair that was also slick with sweat as well as a wide grin. “So!” he said enthusiastically. “You two must be the shinobi we were promised by Konohagakure no Sato. I’ll be honest, I expected someone older, but I’m glad you’re here nonetheless.” Extending his hand to Kyoshi first, then Akame for a hand shake, the man continued. “The name’s Theo, and I’m the foreman around here.”

Not wanting to put Akame in a position he was uncomfortable in, Kyoshi spoke up as he shook the man’s hand. “Hello, I’m Kyoshi and this is Akame. And yes, we’re the genin you were told about. I would love to get to know you better right away, but I think we need to bring something to your attention first.” The Sarutobi paused for a moment and gestured for Akame to show the man the serrated blade that he had found. “If this is what I think it is, it means that those bandits are probably around today as well. When do they usually attack, sir?”

Akame would pocket the broken blade for now, following his comrade from behind as they both traveled towards the construction area. As they had gotten closer the sounds only served to get louder, and as the homes being built came into view, the young Senju could already see that the two Genin weren't the only ones that had paid the construction workers a visit.

The air smelled of a faint scent of smoke, and the burnt remains of one building where the smell could be coming from was in clear view. The bandit problem was already worse than previously thought if they're already destroying buildings. Akame initially felt like they'd pose little more threat than a bunch of ragtag thugs waltzing around and acting as though they'll actually harm the villagers, but if they're already going on pillaging raids then it's only a matter of time before someone legitimately gets hurt. The serrated blade in the boy's personal opinion implied that the offenders at least weren't too badly equipped, though they aren't exactly soldiers either.

It also seemed the two were expected, as as Akame was looking at the other acts of vandalism they both were approached by a muscular man in a white tank top standing as tall as a tree, though definitely way more sweaty. The sweat was definitely more than evident from the faint smell and the slicked short, dark hair on his head. The boy wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if this man had been spending all day working hard on fixing the damages alone, let alone on getting anything else actually done. The giant also held a wide grin on his face and seemed more than enthusiastic to meet them both, starting off with a "So!" before assuming them to be the shinobi promised to them by Konohagakure no Sato. It was with honesty that he would speak what he spoke next, admitting that he expected older people to have been sent, though he is at least glad they're there nonetheless.

Akame watched as the man shook his friend's hand first before going to the young Senju's own, shaking it and leaving the boy's right hand marinated in sweat, which Akame, hoping to not offend, would take his right hand out of view by bringing it behind him, rubbing off the sweat on his back and buttocks, trying to get as much of it off as possible without looking too obvious about it. The man introduced himself as the foreman, and this foreman had a weird name; Theo. The boy almost wanted to ask what exactly Theo meant, but held his tongue for the sake of staying on topic. He was just thankful Kyoshi was more than willing to introduce the two of them as the Genin he was told about and passing off getting to know the man for the sake of bringing something to his attention first.

The young Senju took the verbal cue as his turn to show the blade. Carefully the boy would reach into his sack and pull it out carefully, showing the broken blade to the foreman while his Sarutobi partner mentioned that if it's what he thinks it is then that means the bandits were around today as well, asking when they usually attacked.

"Usually at the end of the day when everyone is packin' up and getting ready to go to sleep. I've only seen them once myself, seems to be about four of 'em, but I don't stick around to know details, none of us do." Akame could see from the man's eyes widening for but a moment before settling back to his previous expression that he clearly was affected by the blade. It's true that it would've been a rare thing to really find anyone here that would honestly stick around during a bandit attack, let alone people with probably little to no combative experience. The man picked the blade from the Genin's hands, examining it closer before holding it at his side. "I'll go 'head and get rid of this for you both. The end of the day is coming soon and the last thing we need around here is our protectors getting hurt before the actual shit hits the fan. Go ahead and make yourselves comfortable or whatever it is your types do, I'm going to go and get back to work."

As Theo attempted to walk away from the two, Akame nodded and looked at Kyoshi for a few moments, one of his eyebrows raising before he looked over to where a few crates were piled together. "I guess we should plan something out then." He would say as he began making his way over to the crates, where he hopped onto one, sitting down cross-legged and facing towards his friend. "So, got any ideas? We should probably decide how we're going to approach them first. You wanna do this upfront, through an ambush, or with one of us being bait? If we're gonna go bait, Transformation Jutsu will probably be all we need, but it'll put one of us in direct danger. Ambush might put any remaining workers as risk, and upfront smells like disaster to me. What do you think?"

Re: Top Notch: The First Mission is Always the Hardest![private/Kyoshi]

Post by Kyoshi on Tue Apr 17, 2018 9:25 am

As Akame pulled out the blade that he had found, Kyoshi watched as Theo’s demeanour shifted drastically. The grin that had occupied his face disappeared and was replaced by a furrowed brow and a serious visage. It was yet another indicator that these bandits meant business. If this mountain of a man was intimidated by them to the point where he had called for shinobi reinforcements, then he and Akame would have to be extra careful in their mission. If they weren’t careful one of them, or worse, a villager would be hurt. The young Sarutobi listened carefully as Theo described the bandits’ usual habits, though he did not have much useful information other than their numbers and the fact that they would come at the end of the work day. It gave time for the two genin to plan a strategy which was good. It was a good start, but when Theo turned to leave encouraging the boys to make themselves comfortable, Kyoshi knew that comfort would be the last thing on their minds for the rest of the day.

"I guess we should plan something out then." The Senju said as he began making his way over to the crates, where he hopped onto one, sitting down cross-legged and facing towards Kyoshi. What do you think?" Kyoshi followed his friend over to the crate and leaned up against it, looking out at the builders nearby as he mulle dover their options in his head. “I agree with you when it comes to a frontal attack. There are more of them than us, and they know this area better than we do. We’re already at a disadvantage so we can’t give up the element of surprise. The only question is, how do we want to surprise them…”

His voice trialed off for a moment while he looked around the area. There was not much in the way of cover other than the nearby forest that was thinned near the actual village and the few houses that stood around them. As much as he liked the idea of hiding in wait to ambush the bandits, he knew that Akame was right about that as well. “An ambush would be great, but we have one job here, which is to protect the builders. And with four of them against two of us I don’t know if we could be fast enough on the draw to stop them.” He paused for a moment as he realized the only option that was left to them. It was the most dangerous for the two of them, but that was their job now. “I think one of us will have to be a distraction. I can be the one that transforms. I can make myself appear to be Theo and while they are distracted by me, you can jump in and take out one or maybe even two of them. Then we take the rest in a straight fight.”

He stepped away from the crate then and turned to face his partner, still weighing options in his head. “I haven’t mastered many jutsu yet, but I have a bit of range as well. So, if you’d rather be the distraction, then I’m good with that too. Whatever you think will work best.”

Re: Top Notch: The First Mission is Always the Hardest![private/Kyoshi]

Post by Akame on Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:42 pm

Akame felt a little relieved that Kyoshi seemed to agree with him for the most part. There are definitely more of them than there are of the two of them and since they have been targeting this area specifically they most likely do know it extremely well, at least well enough to quickly do hit and runs. He kept an eye on his friend as the Sarutobi looked around, seemingly scanning the area around them and formulating a plan. It was intriguing to see it happen on the spot; to be able to observe another calculate and consider the best sort of approach. It nearly made the Senju want to pull out his notepad and see about actually attempting to sketch that look in order to try to capture it, but he resisted the urge.

He listened to his friend speaking in regards to how great the ambush would've been but they do have a job to protect the builders, and with four of the bandits against the two of them he wasn't entirely sure that they would be fast enough to stop them. Akame couldn't agree more with this. Considering they were bandits and with the assumption that these are strong and experienced ones on top of that he figured that, despite how cool doing one would be, an ambush would definitely be out of the question. The constantly thinning forest and the scarce buildings further served to drive a nail into that coffin.

Kyoshi did however seem to be in line with the idea of a distraction, with his volunteering to be the one that transforms, even going as far as to say that he could make himself appear to be Theo and, while distracted by him, Akame can jump in and take out one or two of them, taking the remainder in a straight fight. With that Kyoshi seemed to step away from the crate, facing Akame and telling him that he hasn't mastered many Jutsu yet, but he does have a bit of range so if Akame wished to be the distraction then he's good with that too, whatever he thinks will work best.

"I have faith that you'd be the perfect Theo. I have plenty of jutsu mastered, but I wouldn't be able to pull off the hand seals without them noticing if I was the one in main focus.." Suddenly, after his voice trailed off and he seemingly stared off into the distance, Akame would slap the bottom of his fist against the palm of his left hand. "I got it! It's slightly riskier, but if done right, we can essentially have them all literally unable to surround us and beat us. It's no real surprise that I'm short and.." He would take his headband off of his head, removing it alongside the sack he used to hold onto his tools, placing both behind the crates. "Without these, I just look like some common kid. In fact; Theo has some similar features to me, if you can transform into him, I can pose as some son of his that he brought with him to help with the work. It'll be both upfront and a distraction at the same time, but I have a technique that can trap all of them or just most of them. Considering they're a group of thugs too, they probably have the strongest of them leading them too, so as long as we take him out first, the others shouldn't be too dangerous to face. I know you don't have a lot of jutsu mastered yet, but I'm hoping that you know something that'll prevent them from backing away, we'll need to move fast for this to happen but we'll also need something that will prevent them from just backing off in order to gain distance."

"As long as we have something to keep them from escaping that easily, I'm positive we'll trap them and hold both advantages of an upfront fight and of a distraction. With the scarcity of the surrounding trees and the fact that they'll probably not get close enough to the buildings without setting them on fire or destroying them, not to mention that I can't exactly transform very well, I see no better way to effectively allow the both of us to safely get in close distance of them without them immediately trying to kill us."

(OOC Discussed their agreeing to this with other participant)
+++

With the agreement out of the way Akame would go on to spend the rest of the day helping around with the construction in order to look more like he wasn't just sitting around waiting for night to fall. The work was certainly tough as well. It's a good thing that the young Senju had chosen to stick to the path of the shinobi rather than deciding to go into manual labor, as this was most certainly something he was built for. Heavy lifting, measurements, sawing, putting things together and building things up, these were things that he didn't find himself to be particularly good at whatsoever. In fact, he was probably worse at actually doing these tasks than he was at throwing weapons, but that's good because all it served for him to do was look more worked over.

Soon enough night would come, the end of the day having already arrived and the workers have already began to go home. Upon instruction the true Theo would also be sent off to go home early, leaving behind what is a scarce few workers scattered about finishing their tasks and Akame waiting in the center for his friend to appear in what would hopefully be a convincing transformation of their foreman client. He would stand near the crates from before, sweat dripping down his forehead as he breathed slightly more heavier than before, a hammer held in his left hand, which he was conveniently using to lean against the crates with it resting on the surface.

What caught his eye however would be the arrival of four individuals. Unlike the workers leaving, these four were arriving and didn't appear like anyone that was actually here earlier in the day. His blood would already begin to chill upon seeing a dangerous looking sword being held by the one heading the group. "Oi, oi, oi, where's Theo at?! We're here for our protection money~!" The one with the weapon yelled out loud, waving his weapon around almost like a child would with a newfound toy. Akame, feeling quite nervous but seeing an opportunity, would drop his hammer on the ground next to him. "Dad, they're here!" He would say as he put on a concerned look, voice wavering slightly. The most important piece to this will be "Theo", but Akame had faith that his friend will more than serve to be able to act like the foreman.

"I have faith that you'd be the perfect Theo. I have plenty of jutsu mastered, but I wouldn't be able to pull off the hand seals without them noticing if I was the one in main focus.." There was a moment of pause after Akame said those words, giving Kyoshi a moment to frown to himself. Akame had already mastered a bunch of jutsu? Maybe he was pulling further ahead of Kyoshi than the Sarutobi originally thought. He had been slacking a little bit in his training of late, but to now know that Akame was so far ahead of him made him worry about whether he was really ready for what the pair were about to face. Kyoshi did not have long to think about it however because before too long before Akame was taking off his headband and explaining a new version of the plan.

It sounded too good to be true, and the thought of trapping them and then running down any who thought they could get away. It would work perfectly. Akame continued explaining his idea while Kyoshi started formulating his part of the plan in his mind. "As long as we have something to keep them from escaping that easily, I'm positive we'll trap them and hold both advantages of an upfront fight and of a distraction. With the scarcity of the surrounding trees and the fact that they'll probably not get close enough to the buildings without setting them on fire or destroying them, not to mention that I can't exactly transform very well, I see no better way to effectively allow the both of us to safely get in close distance of them without them immediately trying to kill us." Kyoshi nodded in response to his final comment, his own part of the plan now formed in his mind as well. “That sounds perfect to me. I’ll walk up close to them with you beside them, and once you can get a few of them, trap them and we can pick off the stragglers. It’s the perfect plan!” Raising his fist to the air, Kyoshi felt his blood pumping even faster. It was time for a fight.

The rest of Kyoshi’s day was spent helping the construction workers and getting a good handle on how Theo acted. If he was going to convince these people to talk to him, then he would have to make his disguise believable. Between concentrating on the work at hand, as well as focusing on the man he was going to imitate come nightfall, Kyoshi was growing tired by the time the workers began setting down their materials and leave. Theo also left at that time, at which point Kyoshi nodded to the remaining workers and weaved together the dog, boar, and ram hand seals before expelling his chakra and transforming into a perfect replica of Theo. Looking himself over, Kyoshi was happy with his work and hoped it was good enough for the bandits that were sure to come soon enough. Kyoshi made sure to stand far enough away from Akame to make sure people didn’t think they were conspiring. Their plan was already set into place, now they just had to execute it. His companion had gone to stand in the center of the town so that he could call Kyoshi when the time was right. For some reason, Kyoshi had expected it to take longer, but after only a little while, Kyoshi heard Akame calling him, pretending to be his son.

Kyoshi suddenly straightened up, a surge of nervousness flowing though him for a moment before he took a deep breath and let it out. It was now or never. He was going to protect these people. Turning around, he furrowed his brow as he stepped over to the center of town where is friend stood. Behind Akame were four individuals, each of them looking like they were ready from a fight. They all looked like capable fighters, but the one in the lead had a sword on his back that looked like the biggest threat out of anything there. Praying that Akame would be able to trap him first, Kyoshi stepped up to the man in the lead, ensuring that Akame was by his side. “Hello there gentlemen, I can't remember if you've met my son. Thank you for calling me, boy.” he said calmly as he stepped up. “It’s been too long since your last visit. I’ve forgotten just how much I owe you to keep us safe.” He paused for a moment then and glanced down at Akame, nodding slightly before stepping closer so that he would be in range to strike when the time was right. “How much did you need again?” As he said those words, he began reaching into what appeared to be a pounch for keeping ryo, but in reality it contained his ninja tools. He was ready for the attack. all he needed now was for Akame to lock them down.

Chakra: 145/150
Jutsu Used:
Name: Transformation Technique
Rank: E rank
Type: Supplementary
Duration: Indefinite
Requirements: Special Concentration. The user can maintain this technique so long as they do not take any external damage above light bruising or paper cuts.
Points:

  • Damage:
  • Defense:
  • Healing:
  • Range:
  • Duration: 9
  • Size:
  • Speed:
  • Potency:
  • Effects: 9

Description: It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses however any transformations into weapons or the likes that could cause damage will be incapable of doing so. The jutsu can be activated by the user thinking of what they want to transform into and imagining their new appearance as they weave together the (Dog → Boar → Ram) hand seals. Although some transformations can be incredibly precise, those that try to copy another person can never be completely accurate given the nature of pulling from memory and there are often flaws to be found depending on the skill of the user.
